Rocky Cross Playground

So you’re going to improve your local playground. What’s your great idea?

We just built a community playground out in a rural area in Middlesex, NC. We are in need of pic nic tables for families to sit and eat or do a craft, etc while they are at the playground. There is not a playground around this area and a lot of families are able to use this facility. We understand that country kids need a safe place to play near their homes, to avoid gang exposure and to get some exercise.

How will you involve local volunteers in the playground project?

We will have local volunteers help select the tables and install them.

Which local nonprofit, school, or park district will you work with, and how will you work with them to choose a playground for the project?

Rocky Cross Baptist Church. We already have chosen the playground and would love to get started!

Tell us about the kids that will be using the playground.

These kids need a place to play. There is not a playground for about 10 miles. The local kids can walk here and play safe.
